Love has a name

Who does Jesus love? The stranger who looks strange. The driver who cuts us off in traffic. The person online who thinks differently than we do. Loving people is hard. Especially when it involves the difficult people in our lives and those different from us. We say we love others, but really we don’t. Instead of loving, we hurt, belittle, and overlook people. Which is precisely why we need to learn how to love—from Jesus and from one another.

what to expect

We're excited to meet you! Our desire is that you find a fun, welcoming, and authentic group of people committed to knowing God and being transformed in community with others. Our service (which lasts about 60-70 minutes) includes times of singing, prayer, and the teaching of Scripture.

We invite you to take our Three-Week Challenge and see if we're a good fit for you and your family. As well, please stop by our Welcome Center after the service for a free gift and more information about our ministries.

We also want you to come have a meal with us! Our Newcomers' Lunch is for anyone interested in learning more about who we are as a church. It's a great first step towards becoming a member. Ask questions in a safe environment while you get to know our staff and learn more about our vision and values.

A full kids program (birth - 6th grade) is provided during the service as a part of both our Sunday morning gatherings (9:30AM & 10:45AM) and Wednesday night activities (6:30PM). Our Nursery (birth - 2 years) and Pre-K (3 years - 5 years) environment is located on the Main Level opposite the sanctuary. Our elementary environment is located on the Lower Level. Our central focus in NazKidz is to create a fun, safe, and enriching experience for your children. Our team is committed to loving children, teaching God's Word, and supporting families in their faith journey. We invite you to learn a little more about NazKidz

For students in 7th - 12th grades, we have a Sunday morning gathering at 9:30AM in the Youth Room on the Upper Level. At 10:45AM, our students join together with the adults during the main gathering.

Our NazTeenz also gather on Wednesday nights (6:30PM) in the Youth Room on the Upper Level. Learn more about our dynamic student ministry.

We are a part of the movement of God through the people of God. Therefore, we are a church on mission, commanded by Jesus to GO:

  • GO HERE in our city of Newton
  • GO THERE in our state of Kansas
  • GO EVERYWHERE in our world

We partner with local ministries and non-profits in Newton as well as Nazarene Missions International in our denomination.
